Level 11 - The Culture of Gaming

Press X returns with Cameron and DJ joined by a resurgent Avery and a stalwart Marcus. Cameron bemoans not listening to Avery and freewheeling Persona, while DJ laments his mechanical indifference to Breath of the Wild. Meanwhile, Avery once again beats another game before his fellows and gives some early impressions about Bethesda and Arkane's new game Prey. Level 10 - Ask A Developer Sorta...Trust Us

Cameron runs solo as Avery deals with the woes of a captalist society, but luckily new host DJ is up for a paired down podcast. As Cameron bemoans the stresses of Persona 5 and DJ talks about analog tabletop gaming, the two jamokes discuss the cross section of Politics and Gaming in reference to resistance of a government power as well as the current state of AAA development and its effects of the completion of Video Games. Fun Fact DJ used to work for Zenimax testing Bethesda games and as an aspiring developer he drops some knowledge of some of the woes of development.

Level 9 - Is this still a gaming Podcast?

Press X returns for another week of talking about video games and video game culture, as well as deal with Cameron's increasingly more awful transitions.(We kid...but not really they suck but good on him for trying). Avery discusses the rabbit hole of a brand new Overwath event, DJ gives Drawn to Death the big old meh and Cameron abandons the Mass Effect train for the good ole S.S. Persona 5. But beyond the news of the week, the Fate and the Furious came out and the gang stop talking about games to have an indepth discussion about how they feel about the latest iteration in the blockbuster franchise. Also apologies for any technical hicups, we're trying a different recording set up and it caused some unforseen technical sound issues.

Bonus Level 1 - Horizon Zero Dawn Spoiler Review Discussion

As promised Press X to Start drops a special review discussion on the playstation juggernaut that is Horizon Zero Dawn. Heavy Spoilers Warning this is a review discussion and Avery, Cameron and special guest DJ get into the nitty gritty of the story of Horizon as well as post game reflections about its strengths and weaknesses as a game.

Level 8 - Is 4 the Magic Number

Avery and Cameron are joined by returning champion DJ as well as long time friend of the show and editor Marcus. As Cameron begins to see the pitfalls of Mass Effect Andromeda, Avery has fallen in love with Persona 5 and the shadow of the Scorpio spurs an interesting discussion on the future of the Xbox brand. Once again zig zagging into general pop culture news, the gang discusses the tone deafness of the recent pepsi ad and the woes of Ghost in the Shell and what it means for both asian represenation and anime adaptation in the future. 

Level 7 - And then there were Three

After another unintentional hiatus the boys are back in the studio to talk all things video games. As they welcome Donald (or DJ or whatever you want to call him) into the fold, Cameron defends his love of Mass Effect Andromeda, Avery geeks out about Destiny and the continued discussion of representation and inclusivity comes up again with arrival of Ghost in the Shell(What does this have to do with games...who cares its our show). 

Level 6 - The Calm between Storms

Avery and Cameron reunite to bring their unique perspective to gaming news and culture. Tackling the aftermath of the Kinda Funny split, the two discuss their thoughts on the exit of founder Colin Moriarty and the future of one of their family internent entertainment communities. Also Cameron watched alot of Mass Effect lets plays, so listen as he gets Avery get hyped for the next entry in the blockbuster franchise

Level 5 - Breath off the ?

After last week's Horizon filled episode, the boys slow down to talk about more Horizon. Or at least the games social impact in regards to identity politics and representation. Meanwhile Cameron drones on about the new Mordor game and Avery relates his underwhelming Zelda experiences.
